If I had a co-signer on credit card approval how good of credit do I have?

Tuesday, November 9th, 2010

I’ve established my credit these past 2 years, and paid all debt. Credit cards are paid of monthly. but for a credit card to a home store I needed a co-signer ( not bc of age/but so it will get paid by either)…How good is my credit then?
I needed a co signer before they even did a credit check..also im 24…and i got approved for over 4000

Paying off your credit cards monthly sometimes isnt good. Your age and your pay could have something to do with it. Experian will give you a free credit score.. goto quizzle.com and will show all stuff on ur credit report without your social security number. Also, Credit is being measured differently now…. 700 used to be excellent and now its starts at 750 and up for excellent. Under 620 is bad… So everything has gone up 50 points to be in that bracket. I know my sister tried to get a couch at Big Lots and was turned down.. her credit score is 650.

After being scammed by Anacott Financial, has anyone found a "reputable" guaranteed approval credit card?

Sunday, October 24th, 2010

There are so many of us who feel we’ve been scammed by Anacott Financial … has anyone discovered a "reputable" guaranteed approval credit card … I’m pretty desperate–the transmission went on my car 3 weeks ago and I need to come up with $2500-$3000 FAST!!!

There are NO legitimate guaranteed approval credit cards, except for the secured cards. (Obviously, that won’t do you any good for this situation.) If you apply for any other so-called guaranteed card, your chances of being scammed are high, and your chances of being disappointed are pretty close to 100 percent.

If you are dealing with a transmission specialty shop rather than just a regular mechanic, I suggest you talk with the shop to see if they can arrange direct financing for your repair. Many transmission places know that it costs a bundle and have worked out deals for their customers. Ask if that’s possible at the shop you are going to.

Good luck. I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but I hope it helps.

Does the Old Navy Credit Card have instant approval?

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

I was curious, if you’re accepted for a Credit Card do they tell you immediately? I would think so… I applied online and was told I’d recieve my answer in 4-5 days. Does that mean I am denied?

Yes, if you are a very low risk they will give the cashier an automatic approval when you are at the register. If they have any questions (and this can be as small as you recently moved and have a different address, the cashier makes a keystroke error and changes your birth year, social securitty number….) or every single item does not match up, they will defer the decision.

Credit card approval for students?

Friday, September 17th, 2010

I have no credit and I applied for a student credit card online. I am in college. How long should it take before I hear back?

Hey, I just applied for a student credit card too. I also have no credit history. The only difference is I actually went to the bank to do it and they said it would be 2-3 Business days to find out if i’m approved or not.

Credit Card Approval, how long does it take/where do I get the card?

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

I applied to two credit cards in town through an online application about 4 days ago. Upon applying it just said thank you, call this number for help, and that was it. I listed my e-mail and address and what not on the application so should I expect and e-mail or actual mail containing the card?

How long does it take to be actually applied?

I was hoping to have the card before the end of next week since I’m going to Toronto and would like to have one in case of an emergency since I’ll be there for two weeks.

One last question, I didn’t include my SIN number because it was optional? Will this ruin my chances of being approved and should I approve again and include it?

Most credit card companies will either auto approve or auto decline if you apply online and you get that message back right away. If you didn’t receive a decision, there could be various reasons:
1) They might need to develop your application a little bit and might contact you to get clarity regarding your income, credit history etc.
2) Someone will need to review your application manually and provide a decision.

In any of these cases, you should call the company and inquire about the status of your application. By law, credit card companies have 30 days to respond to your application but companies generally turn them around in 10-15 days.

Is the approval criteria different between getting a personal loan, line of credit, & credit card?

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

Is the approval criteria different between getting a personal loan, line of credit, & credit card? Ex: If i did not qaulify for a personal loan, does that also mean i dont qaulify for a line of credit or credit card? This is so i can rebuild my fair credit to good credit over time.

Pretty much…. if they don’t give you an unsecured line of credit (credit card) then chances are they won’t give you an unsecured loan (personal loan).

Either way….. if your score is "fair" then you will have a hard time getting a line of credit. Save up some money and try for a secured credit card with your bank. This is a way to improve that credit rating.

Failed to get approval for credit card application!!WHY so difficult??

I’m new in united states and have applied for credit card for 2 times few months ago and were rejected by banks. Is that because of no creditable record in united states so that i don’t have enough qualification for applying credit card in here?

What should I do to ensure to get approval for applying credit card?

Try for a secured credit card. Take like $300. Go to a bank and apply for the secure credit card. If they accept you, they take the $300 and hold it as a deposit against your card. You get a card that has a $300 limit on it. You can use this to build your credit. Be sure to ask them if they report the credit to the credit reporting companies. I have heard that some banks do not. That might not be true but it never hurts to ask. If one bank turns you down then find another. Sooner or later one will accept your application.

Odds are the secure card will work. It is a much safer arrangment for the banks. They will not give you credit over what they are holding. If you do not pay them back then they can use the deposit to close the account and they do not lose any money.
